ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Role to be headquartered in Los Angeles, CA

KEY OBJECTIVES

    • Leader for all channels of the merchandise business (on-site, ecommerce and more) and owner of the business unit’s P&L
    • Responsible for creating core & seasonal merchandise plans based on historical data, market research & trend forecasting to meet sales & brand goals
    • Actively source and manage all third-party vendors to ensure full assortment & achieve margin goals
    • Partner with internal design team to develop private label products
    • Establish aesthetic direction, quality & fit appropriate for PLL brand
    • Work with the digital marketing team to create relevant and engaging product marketing that drives merchandise sales across all channels
    • Maintain open-to-buy & own the process, ensuring inventory strategies align with product performance. Identify in-season risks & opportunities
    • Establish visual merchandising strategy and for on-site
    • Coordinate with on-site venues to execute the PLL merchandise plan throughout the season
    • Manage inventory planning and logistics for all PLL events & eCommerce
    • Create and present monthly reports and business unit insights to Management Team
    • Develop annual budgets and forecasts for business unit P&L
    • Shepherd product launch process with key contributors

QUALIFICATIONS

      • 6+ years of related work experience in Merchandising
      • Successful track record for high volume business growth & bottom line results
      • High intelligence with a true entrepreneurial risk mentality, strong analytical & strategic thinking
      • In-depth knowledge of design techniques & processes
      • Excellent leadership/management skills
      • High communicator & strong relationship builder able to manage key partnerships in multiple locations
      • Bachelor’s degree
      • Self-motivated and self-directed

ABOUT THE PLL

 

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) brought the sport of lacrosse to a national stage for the first time through a tour-based model, complete with the best players the game has to offer. Co-founded by lacrosse superstar, philanthropist, and investor Paul Rabil and his brother, serial entrepreneur and investor, Mike Rabil, the Premier Lacrosse League is backed by an investment group comprised of The Raine Group, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), The Chernin Group, and Blum Capital. The league was announced in October 2018, with an exclusive media-rights deal with NBC Sports Group. The PLL’s second season will begin in May 2020, with seven teams, embarking on a 14-week season that concludes with a playoff and PLL championship game.
