The Premier Lacrosse League is seeking a Director of Ticketing to lead the league’s ticketing vertical. The team is broken into two specific functions, each of which would report into the Director of Ticket Sales: (1) Sales (2) Ticket Operations. The primary charge of this role will be achieving ticket sales growth targets – encompassing revenue, scanned tickets, and single ticket sales. Qualified candidates must be comfortable leading a sales organization and hitting aggressive YOY growth targets. The team is comprised of both full-time and seasonal employees. The role is highly strategic, and will require matching traditional sales know-how and relationship building with innovative ideas to deliver consistent growth and win new prospective fans. The second layer of responsibility will focus on ensuring seamless ticket operations, including oversight of box office management across all PLL venues.
Role to be located in Los Angeles, CA HQ and will report to VP of Growth

  • Lead the PLL’s ticket sales team to successful outcomes
  • Meet demanding revenue targets as one of the league’s primary revenue streams

  • Develop 1, 3, and 5-year strategic growth models to meet the needs of future scale
  • Track and report actual and expected sales to management on a frequent basis and highlight key concerns or opportunities
  • Foster a culture of hospitality and customer service
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in sports-based ticket sales
  • Proven sales leader with track record in managing a successful sales organization
  • Deep understanding of live sports ticketing products, including season tickets, premiums, single tickets, and group tickets
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive overview of group sales opportunities and sales frameworks
  • Experience with commission-based compensation modelling and managing a budget
  • Minimum basic understanding of box office and ticketing operations – with a preference for experience using Host, Archtics, Account Manager and other Ticketmaster tools
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think outside of the box re: ticket sales and demand generation
  • Understanding of secondary ticketing markets with the ability to execute on consignment opportunities and other secondary sales opportunities
  • Ability to develop a strategic framework for a tour-based sales model, including onsale dates, product rollouts, and roles and responsibilities for team members
  • Existing or desire to develop a passion for selling lacrosse
  • Demonstrates the ability to work closely with PLL operational teams to coordinate around manifesting, seat kills, group experiences, and other highly-coordinated aspects of ticketing and live events
