Position Overview:
The PLL is seeking a Marketing Manager to organize league-level campaigns, lead project management across marketing, content, and media teams, and support overall marketing efforts. The Marketing Manager will serve first as an organizer and thread across business units, overseeing project management systems internally, including delivery workbacks and roadmapping, brief creation, Asana management, and cross-departmental communication. Ideal candidates will be highly-organized, exceptional communicators, and have experience in supporting or driving campaigns for sports teams or leagues (jersey unveils, schedule announcements, ticketing promotion, etc). The Marketing Manager will be the “glue person” working cross-functionally between marketing, content, media, ticket sales, merchandise, and product teams. She or he will need to be comfortable working with multiple disciplines and on multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously with velocity to deliver best outcomes. The Marketing Manager will oversee all brief creation and facilitation of campaign goals to ensure alignment with company OKRs.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure the PLL’s media and marketing campaigns are executed in an organized, timely, and efficient manner; create and maintain a deadline-driven culture while providing space for the PLL’s creative teams to focus on creative ideation and storytelling
  • Manage the media and marketing teams’ project management software, Asana, including project creation, task creation, task assignments, deadline setting and adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of the platform
  • Develop and deploy project management processes and ensure process is followed across the organization and with other campaign managers
  • Develop and report on projects in a metric-driven manner to identify blockers, resource shortages, and overall operating efficiency of the team
  • Drive campaign brief creation, including identification of key information, campaign goals, and workback timelines
  • Support across general marketing capacities, including affiliate partner management, UTM link management, QR code fulfillment, and basic reporting
  • Create and disseminate meeting agendas and lead meetings when required, including creating follow-ups from meetings, such as assignments, deliverables, and general notes
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s of Arts requirement
  • Minimum 3 years experience in marketing roles
  • Highly-organized with a demonstrated proficiency in collaborative and operationally complex work
  • At least some background / experience in general project management, ideally supporting team or league-level campaigns
  • General understanding of marketing concepts, including universal marketing KPIs and a deep understanding of core marketing channels
  • Understanding of project management software, with a background working in at least one project management software (Asana, Basecamp, Trello, etc)
  • Demonstrates “A” level organization and exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
Compensation:
  • Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location
  • $70,000 to $90,000 annually
  • The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
