Position Overview:
The PLL production team seeks a Producer/Editor to support branded content and general league-wide campaigns. Candidates will have existing experience in digital media creation in sports, while also having a deep understanding of the partnership’s content ecosystem. Candidates will concept and produce media in coordination with the PLL’s Content, Production, and Partnerships teams.

Key Objectives:
Pre-Production:
  • Build content briefs synopsizing media creative and production logistics.
  • Script and storyboard media for applicable campaigns.
  • Coordinate logistics for production shoots with athletes and talent
  • Communicate content creative development to the PLL partnerships team.
  • Conceptualize and develop media for optimization across PLL-owned and operated as well as sponsor partner distribution channels.
  • Develop video content for tentpole league campaigns in collaboration with the PLL Marketing team.
Production/Camera Operation:
  • Understanding of framing, composition, and other foundational knowledge of cinematography so as to be comfortable capturing content alone or with a 3-5 person crew.
  • Direct PLL athletes and coaches through a variety of shoots including but not limited to: workouts, interviews, commercials, and bespoke access-oriented capturing.
Post- Production:
  • Collaborate with sponsored partners to edit content that aligns with both PLL and sponsor branding objectives.
  • Assist with edits for additional PLL vertices including PLL Assists, PLL Academy, and PLL Merchandise among others.
  • Basic understanding of packaging media for broadcast distribution
  • Coordinate applicable media created for PLL and sponsor distribution platforms.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the branded content pipeline of digital media/production.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro editing software. Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. A robust motion graphics skillset is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling for a sports-minded audience and beyond
  • Knowledge of Asana or comparable project management software
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of the Sony family of cameras.
  • Must be based in New York or Los Angeles.
  • Team player with a “Be Helpful” mindset, assisting colleagues on projects when help is needed.
  Compensation:
  • $66,500 to $72,500 annually
  • Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location
  • The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
