Position Overview:
The Lacrosse Network is looking to hire a Social Media Intern to assist with growing our large digital following across all platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, SnapChat). This candidate must be a skilled communicator who can write social copy, post live during games, and assist with successful promotional campaigns across the organization. The role requires an expert level of lacrosse knowledge – knowing its roots, players, and the game itself inside and out. While we are focused on core lacrosse fans, it is also imperative to attract new fans outside of the game. This candidate must have experience running popular social media accounts, understanding of brand voice, and knowledge of the ever-changing social media ecosystem. Reports directly to the Manager of TLN.  
Qualifications:
  • No prior experience required; great opportunity for those starting their professional journey.
  • Experience working across all social media platforms
  • Weekend availability is required to watch NCAA games remotely
  • Base level video editing experience + graphic design experience required
  • Well-versed in and passionate about lacrosse
  • Knowledge of top teams, top players, and marquee events
  • Having a grasp on internet pop culture
  • Data-focused mindset – always tracking analytics and improving accordingly
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to build and run campaigns for various initiatives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Editing social cuts optimized for each platform
  • Watching college lacrosse every weekend and creating edits from the best moments
  • Source content from the lacrosse community via submissions or otherwise
  • Assist in story creation and content roadmaps
  • Create promotional material for marquee campaigns – (merch, new YouTube videos, data capture opportunities, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with influencers and athletes
  • Monitor analytics across all O+O handles
  • Always keeping a pulse on what’s happening in the sport, ready to react at a moment’s notice
 
Compensation & Opportunities 
  • Paid role (minimum wage)
  • Internship position / 30 hours per week
