LOS ANGELES – May 1, 2023 – The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster today announced that Michael Levine, Co-Head of Sports at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), has been elected to the league’s Board of Directors.
“Mike’s vision and leadership in our industry is second to none. He's been an invaluable member deeply connected to the growth of our league,” said Mike Rabil, co-founder and CEO of the Premier Lacrosse League. “We’re honored that Mike will now be joining our Board of Directors, and look forward to leveraging his knowledge of what it takes to build value around athletes, teams and leagues.”

Levine brings three decades of expertise and experience in the sports industry to the PLL. Under his guidance, CAA Sports has become a leader in the areas of athlete representation, property sales and sponsorship, brand consulting, and media advisory since its inception in 2006.

“Vino’s penchant for innovation across sports marketing and business have been instrumental in our league's journey,” said Paul Rabil, Co-Founder and President of the Premier Lacrosse League. “Given his well-accounted for and applauded 20+ years of success in sports business, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone how great of a college lacrosse player he was at Cornell. When you can overlay strategic success with passion, you know you've got something.”

As a member of the CAA Board and Co-Head of CAA Sports, Levine oversees the agency’s sports practice, which represents more than 3,000 of the world’s best athletes in football, baseball, hockey, basketball, and soccer, in addition to icons in individual sports, coaches, broadcasters, and other sports personalities. For nine consecutive years, CAA Sports has topped Forbes’ Most Valuable Agencies list, with more than $17.8 billion in contract value currently under management. The agency has negotiated some of the industry’s most groundbreaking deals and won a multitude of sports’ most widely sought-after partnerships, completing more than $10 billion in new sponsorship business on behalf of its property clients. CAA Sports also works in brand consulting, and is currently advising, managing, and activating on more than $4 billion in sponsorship rights deals for clients. In 2017, CAA Sports launched CAA ICON, the leading owner’s representative and strategic management consulting firm, which oversees the development, design, and construction of major stadiums worldwide, including the O2 Arena, Staples Center, and Chase Center. Additionally, the agency’s sports media advisory practice has structured and negotiated more than $64 billion in media rights deals.

In 2006, 2007, and 2008, Levine was recognized by Street & Smith’s The Sports Business Journal as one of the Top 40 sports executives nationwide under the age of 40. He was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2008, and has since made 14 appearances on the publication’s annual listing of the 50 Most Influential People in the Sports Business.

“Mike, Paul, and the entire PLL team are doing incredible work, not only elevating the game of lacrosse, but also innovating, and pushing the boundaries of the sports business across the board,” said Levine. “Having worked closely with the Rabils since they began their efforts to launch the PLL, I am so proud to have been asked to join the Board to try to help them continue to rewrite the script for professional lacrosse.”
