As the Denver Outlaws prepare for their first run at the PLL Championship Series in February, the staff is filling out the roster with young talent to compete in the Sixes format.

The team announced Tuesday it had signed forwards Ryan Cohen, Fulton Bayman and Lance Madonna to Championship Series contracts. It was Denver’s first wave of new additions for the tournament.

None of the three played in the PLL last season, though Cohen spent time at training camp with the Maryland Whipsnakes. Despite their lack of pro experience, all three were standout college players in the last two seasons.

Madonna is the furthest removed from his college lacrosse glory, playing his senior season at Richmond in 2024. His running mate through a successful college career with the Spiders? Denver’s Dalton Young.

The duo played together from 2021 to 2024, leading Richmond to two conference championships. Both players rank in the top 10 in program history for points. Madonna won Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year honors in each of his final two college seasons, and he was an honorable mention All-American as a senior.

Cohen is another former All-American honorable mention. The Boca Raton, Fla., native is one of the most productive players in Michigan lacrosse history, ranking second in career points and first in assists.

In 2025, he finished with 46 points en route to earning first-team All-Big Ten honors.

Bayman finished his college career last season at Georgetown, where he helped lead the Hoyas to a Big East championship. He trailed only Aidan Carroll on the team in points, recording 31 goals and a team-high 32 assists.

His championship roots are richer than one conference title, though, as he won a pair of national championships at Notre Dame before his breakout season in the nation’s capital.
