PLL Play is proud to announce Marcus Holman as its first Play Pro, marking the official launch of a new initiative designed to bridge the gap between today’s stars and the next generation of lacrosse players.
As our first-ever Play Pro, Marcus brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a deep love of the game. A two-time PLL champion, five-time All-Star, and 2023 Attackman of the Year, Marcus has consistently elevated his play while making those around him better. His career speaks for itself—over 300 goals at the professional level, a legacy as one of North Carolina’s all-time greats, and a relentless work ethic that’s helped shape championship-caliber teams.
“I’ve known Marcus for over ten years and his interest in and enjoyment of the sport of lacrosse is special, said Kevin Leveille, VP Youth Sales and Strategy at the PLL. Throughout his entire career to date, you can see, and almost feel, the energy and effort he plays with. It’s a great example for all lacrosse players on its own, but Marcus’ authentic passion and commitment to help guide the way for the next generation is really what makes him a leader in the game. Being a Play Pro is more than just being an ambassador for PLL Play. It’s an ongoing collaboration between PLL Play and elite athletes who want to give back to the game in meaningful ways. Marcus won’t just be showing up—he’ll be shaping the experience. From leading on-site events and training sessions to helping design the very environments where young players develop, Holman will be hands-on, invested, and inspired by what’s possible.
