All-Pro attackman Josh Byrne has agreed to a contract extension with the Carolina Chaos through 2026.
The lefty attackman is coming off a 2023 season where he scored 15 goals and added six assists for 21 points in just six games. Byrne was ranked the No. 8 player in the Player's Top 50 by his peers.
Byrne has been a member of the Chaos since 2019 and has recorded 20 or more points in each of his seasons with the team. Byrne won a championship with the Chaos in 2021 and was named a First-Team All-Pro in 2020 and a Second-Team All-Pro in 2021.
Byrne will lead a new-look Chaos offense featuring Jules Heningburg and Sergio Perkovic.
Head Coach and General Manager Andy Towers has made a splash in free agency signing Heningburg, Perkovic and Kevin Rogers. Towers was also able to extend Blaze Riorden, Patrick Resch and Chris Cloutier to name a few.
