Whose threads were the best? Here is how I would rank the top 10 looks of the season:
Carolina proved once again that you can’t go wrong with simplicity. The red jerseys popped on the field, with a black shadow accent on the white lettering that matched the Chaos’ black helmets and shorts. Instead of just having the Chaos logo on the front, the “Carolina” in white lettering, along with a smaller but still visible scorpion on the chest of the jersey, was a great balance between city and mascot. This season, the addition of a black and gray checkered flag that wrapped around the sleeves of the jersey was a nice tribute to the region’s auto racing history. However, my favorite new addition was the outline of the North and South Carolina borders on the shoulders with a shaded “C” inside of it. A nice nod to the Chaos’ home region.
The Waterdogs’ Indigenous Heritage jerseys were simple, yet special. Philadelphia rocked all black for the only time this season, and it was a standout look — especially playing at night against the brightly colored Maryland Whipsnakes jerseys. Philly’s standard purple chrome helmets reflected the back of its jerseys for a new, special look for the Waterdogs. I absolutely love the “Philadelphia” lettering on the white stripe on the top of the helmets — another nice touch considering the jerseys did not reference Philly anywhere else. The purple accents on the sleeves matched the helmet and the eyes of the dog in the Waterdogs’ Indigenous Heritage jerseys.
The Redwoods’ white-out jerseys were one of the more underrated uniforms of the season. The green lettering on “California” and the jersey numbers on the front of the uniform popped against the white jersey, and the yellow accents on the collar, sleeves and shorts were such a clean look. My favorite part about these jerseys was the mini redwoods that are embedded in the yellow accents — reminiscent of the 2000s Minnesota Timberwolves jersey trim. The attention to detail on these crisp white jerseys made them the best look California rocked all season.
Orange, creamsicle, tangerine — the Archers’ all-orange jerseys were a highlight of the season for Utah. Outside of it being one of the more uniform looks of the season for the Archers, it was the little details that made this jersey so special. For starters, the outline of the state of Utah in the “A” on the chest is one of the most thoughtful designs in the entire PLL. Mix that with the mountain range design on the shoulders and pants, and the Archers have one of the best jerseys that pays homage to their home city. The all-orange was a creative alternate uniform for the Archers, who typically rock their orange shorts and helmet with their white jerseys, and their orange jerseys with their navy blue shorts.
Every look from Indigenous Heritage Weekend was fun to see, but I think the Whips stepped their game up this season. In 2024, Maryland’s Indigenous Heritage look was all red; this season, the Whips embraced the colors of their home state and produced one of my favorite jerseys of the season. Maryland swapped out its red Indigenous Heritage jersey for a crisp white one and its red shorts for a new bright yellow look that stood out on the field. The ruby red lettering on the Whips’ jerseys was eye-catching, and the design pattern that matched the sleeves and the stripes on the shorts was a really nice touch.
Whether it is the bright blue offsetting the navy blue accents, or the white pinstripes down the bottom half of the jersey, or the horn logos on the sleeves, the Atlas’ solar blue uniforms are top-notch. I normally do not like it when there are no numbers on the front of the jersey (outside of Indigenous Heritage Weekend), but the bull logo is a great look for the Atlas. The best version of this uniform, however, was when the Atlas swapped out their standard solar blue helmet for the navy blue helmet they rocked during the 2025 Championship Series and Throwback Weekend. I love it when teams can mix and match different uniform concepts to create something new and special.
As much as I hate not putting either of the Whipsnakes’ standard jerseys in the top 10, I loved what Maryland did with its throwback uniforms. Not only did the look pay homage to the Maryland state flag and the University of Maryland lacrosse team, but it also introduced a clean new look in front of a rowdy crowd in Chicago. The white mesh jersey was a great start, then add in the bright red block lettering on the numbers and nameplate, along with the black, yellow and red stripes on the shoulders. My favorite part about the Whipsnakes’ alternate jerseys, both Indigenous Heritage and Throwback Weekends, was the matching of the helmet to the jersey color, while offsetting the shorts.
One of the cleanest-looking jerseys of the season, the Outlaws rocked their all-black look in both of their playoff games. Denver sported black jerseys and shorts during its Homecoming Weekend, but with a gray helmet instead of white. However, the all-black just looks so much more in sync. I absolutely loved the offset jersey numbers on the front of the uniform, especially with the orange design inside the numbers. It was one of the most unique uniforms of the season, just based on the number placement. The matching stripe around the sleeve paired perfectly with the stripe down the side of the shorts, and the orange accents popped a bit more on the black jerseys.
The Atlas’ throwback jersey was one of the more well-done jerseys this season. First off, the all-navy blue colorway was beautiful, especially paired with their dark blue helmets. The mesh jerseys with the wonky “New York” lettering on the front were a great look, and I loved how New York still utilized its solar blue color in the jersey numbers and on the sleeves. The light blue shadowing on the numbers added a perfect accent to the jersey, while the shoulders added just the slightest bit more solar to balance out the navy. The most underrated part of the uniform was the “NY” script on the shorts, which not only looked great on the field, but also looked like they could be worn as street clothes. One of the best-looking uniforms from the season.
The best uniforms of 2025 debuted on the final weekend of the regular season, when the Cannons got a chance to wear their second throwback uniform in front of their Homecoming crowd in Boston. The jerseys were a nod to the team’s original MLL look, celebrating 25 years of Cannons lacrosse. The navy blue uniforms with red accents featured the Cannons’ throwback logo, big and bold in the center of the jersey. Underneath the logo, the same “Boston Cannons” lettering from 2001 returned, and it was the only jersey this season that featured both the city and team name. The red stripe on the shoulders and sleeves with a white outline fed directly into the red and white triangle on the shorts, and the gray trim on the numbers perfectly matched Boston’s gray helmets.
