LOS ANGELES – Jan. 25, 2024 – The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster today announced a new season ticket offering following the assignment of the PLL’s eight teams to home cities beginning in the 2024 season. Homecoming Passes will give fans full access to their team’s double-header Homecoming Weekend, with the option to lock in preferential pricing and seating locations for 2025.
“Making season tickets available to our teams’ most dedicated fans is an exciting evolution for the PLL as we enter this new era for our league,” said Mike Rabil, co-founder and CEO of the Premier Lacrosse League. “As we continue to build fandom and connection with our teams,, founding Homecoming Pass holders will be part of league history when they watch their teams face-off for the first time this summer in their home market.”
"We are proud to support the PLL as they continue to innovate around the onsite fan experience," said Clay Luter, EVP & CO-Head of Sports at Ticketmaster. "With the roll-out of Homecoming Passes, the PLL furthers its commitment to building local community, deepening fandom & elevating the experience each year."
The PLL recently assigned its eight teams to home cities, marking the league’s biggest investment since its inception in 2018. The league will continue to operate a 14-week, tour-based season, with eight of the league’s 10 regular season game weekends to be held in teams’ home markets. Two additional regular season weekends will be held in Minneapolis and Fairfield, Conn.
When the PLL travels to a team’s home market, that team will host its “homecoming weekend” and play two games in two days. The PLL will also make new investments in the fan experience, including dedicated programming and fan sections, in-market supporter groups, and local philanthropic partnerships through its non-profit, PLL Assists.
The top four teams from the 2023 season will be the first to represent their home markets at the 2024 PLL Championship Series powered by Ticketmaster, this February 14-19 at The St. James near Washington, D.C. The Utah Archers, Boston Cannons, California Redwoods, and Philadelphia Waterdogs will compete in the Olympic Sixes game format, set to return lacrosse to the Olympics at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games.
