Start ’Em: Tom Schreiber, M, West All-Star Team (27 coins)

Tom Schreiber is coming off a -6 point week, and frankly, I don’t give a damn.

He is Captain America, and it’s the Fourth of July weekend. What more do I need to say? Hot dogs, fireworks, the flag—and the guy who’s been the face of American lacrosse for the last decade.

He’s an 11-time All-Star. He’s played in a million of these games. The beauty of Schreiber is he’s not like the other guys out there just trying to clip farm every possession during an All-Star Game—and that’s exactly why we love him. He plays with discipline, humility, toughness, and IQ. He makes the right play, not the loud one. He’s not out there chasing highlights. Just feels right on Fourth of July weekend, doesn’t it?

He’s starting for the West and playing alongside two rookies in Sam King and Andrew McAdorey. It’s their first All-Star Game. Expect them to do the dirty work—dodging, drawing slides, stirring the pot—and Schreiber to end up wide open on the backside.

He’s not going to force anything. He doesn’t have to. The ball always finds him.

You don’t bench Captain America on Fourth of July weekend.

Start ‘em.

Sit ’Em: Justin Inacio, FO, East All-Star Team (23 coins)

It’s tough to sit any All-Star—especially when each one of these guys has shown up, performed, and earned their spot. Every name on the roster brings value. But fantasy isn’t about who deserves it. It’s about who’s in the right position to produce this week.

And that’s why we have to take a closer look at Justin Inacio. With TD Ierlan sidelined by injury, Inacio was chosen to take his place at the All-Star Game. It’s a well-deserved honor. But it also puts him in a tough spot.

While talented, Inacio has been chosen as the sacrificial lamb. No one wants to face Trevor Baptiste more than once a season—and somehow, Inacio drew the short straw.

I had him in my lineup last weekend, and don’t get me wrong—I think Inacio is a legit long-term option for Carolina at the faceoff stripe. This sit has leas to do with his ability and more to do with the guy he has to line up against.

Trevor Baptiste is across the stripe, and that’s a problem. With so many reps flying around, all it takes is a couple clean losses for this to spiral.

At 23 coins, he’s affordable. But sometimes, value means knowing when to sit a guy who’s not in the right spot this week.

Sit ‘em.
