The 2025 playoffs bracket is set. Following the conclusion of the regular season in Boston, the six teams who’ve qualified for the postseason are official along with their seedings in the playoffs.
Western Conference
In the West, the Denver Outlaws claimed the No. 1 seed and the bye to the semifinals with a 7-3 regular season led by the emergence of newcomers Pat Kavanagh, Jared Bernhardt and Logan McNaney, along with the continued dominance of Brennan O’Neill.
Denver will play the winner of the No. 2 California Redwoods and No. 3 Carolina Chaos, who will meet in the quarterfinals on Aug. 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The Chaos clinched a berth to the playoffs by beating the Outlaws in Denver on Aug. 1. Carolina’s young offensive core has complemented its typically stout defense as Blaze Riorden looks to lead his club to another title.
The Redwoods punched their ticket to the postseason by taking down the Boston Cannons in an 18-17 thriller at Harvard Stadium on Friday night. They return to the playoffs after a one-year absence behind new head coach Anthony Kelly and a crop of young talent, including Chris Kavanagh.
The two-time reigning champion Utah Archers missed the playoffs after going 4-6 this season.
Eastern Conference
In the East, the New York Atlas will be sitting pretty with the No. 1 seed and the bye to the semifinals. MVP favorite Connor Shellenberger piloted the Atlas to a second consecutive 7-3 season as New York ran away from the competition in the Eastern Conference.
The Atlas will play the winner of the quarterfinal between the No. 2 seed Maryland Whipsnakes and the No. 3 seed Philadelphia Waterdogs who will play at 6 p.m. ET.
Maryland was the final team to qualify for the postseason by beating Boston in the regular-season finale on Saturday night. TJ Malone and the Whipsnakes have had an up-and-down summer, but still have the foundations of a championship team and may be peaking at the right time.
The Waterdogs return to the playoffs after missing the postseason in Bill Tierney’s first year at the helm last summer. They secured their spot by losing to the Atlas by one point on Saturday, solidifying their score differential tiebreaker over Maryland and the Boston Cannons.
The Cannons are the odd team out of the playoffs in the East.
