The matchup for the 2025 U.S. Bank PLL Championship is officially set with the New York Atlas and Denver Outlaws prepared to clash on Sept. 14 in Harrison, N.J.

The Atlas outlasted the Philadelphia Waterdogs on Labor Day with a 13-11 victory. This will be New York’s first title game appearance in its seven-year history. Goalie Liam Entenmann backstopped the Atlas’ victory with 18 saves (69.2%). He made two clutch stops in the final minute to stuff the Dogs’ final push.

“What do you say about Liam Entenmann?” head coach Mike Pressler asked postgame.

Connor Shellenberger led the Atlas in points with five (1G, 4A) while Xander Dickson chipped in four goals and Matt Traynor scored a hat trick. Gavin Adler blanketed Michael Sowers, holding the active leader in postseason points to just two in the semifinals. Sowers’ 16 touches were a season low. Trevor Baptiste also owned the faceoff stripe for New York, winning 15 of 25 draws (60%).

The Outlaws took down the California Redwoods in the second semifinal, winning 12-7 behind six points from Brennan O’Neill. The Outlaws defense locked the Woods down in the second half, holding them scoreless for the entirety of the third quarter as Denver built its lead. California only took 18 shots on goal across 48 minutes.

That was in some part thanks to a clutch performance from Luke Wierman. After losing the first five faceoffs of the game, Wierman went 11-for-15 (73.3%) the rest of the way, which included winning nine in a row in the middle of the game.

The Outlaws and the Atlas have met once this season in a back-and-forth thriller in Denver. After Shellenberger tied the game at 12-12 in the final 30 seconds of regulation, Jared Bernhardt won it for the Outlaws in overtime.

In two weeks, the two No. 1 seeds will match up again with the U.S. Bank Championship Trophy on the line.
