Tucker Durkin Cleared to Return to Play at PLL Championship Series

By PLL | Jul 29, 2020

LOS ANGELES, CA. (July 29, 2020) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today that Atlas defenseman Tucker Durkin has been cleared to play and may enter the PLL bubble. For the past 12-days, Durkin has been isolated and has completed telemedicine visits with a doctor on the PLL COVID Committee. During the telemedicine visits, Tucker's daily symptoms were monitored and temperature checks were performed.

After 10-days without exhibiting symptoms, Durkin was sent to a cardiologist and put through the same requisite assessment tests as other athletes that have been considered COVID Recovered.

After clearing his cardiology evaluation including a stress test, Durkin was administered a follow-up COVID-19 test which returned as negative. Based on these test results, Dr. Catherine Logan, the PLL’s Head Physician, has cleared Durkin to enter the PLL Bubble.

Because Atlas Head Coach Ben Rubeor opted to begin the Championship Series with 21 players instead of 22, Durkin may immediately return to practice with the Atlas as of today without any additional roster movement.
