West Point, Navy Lacrosse Coaches Return to Lead Green Beret Foundation and Navy SEAL Foundation Lacrosse Teams at Second Annual Stars and Stripes Classic

PHILADELPHIA – August 21, 2025 – The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster today announced that Coach Joe Alberici of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Coach Joe Amplo of the United States Naval Academy will return to the sidelines for the Second Annual Stars and Stripes Classic.

Coach Alberici will lead the Green Beret Foundation team, while Coach Amplo will coach the Navy SEAL Foundation team. The game will take place on September 1 at Subaru Park at 6:00pm ET, immediately following the PLL Semifinals in Philadelphia, and will air on ESPNU and ESPN+.

Green Beret Foundation Coaching Staff:

  • Joe Alberici: Head Coach, Men’s Lacrosse at the United States Military Academy at West Point
  • Bobby Benson: Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach at Providence College

Navy SEAL Foundation Coaching Staff:

  • Joe Amplo: Head Coach, Men’s Lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy
  • Ken Broschart: Assistant Coach, Men’s Lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy
  • Rob Camposa: Lacrosse Operations at the United States Naval Academy

I know what this experience means to these men and I’m eager to get back together with them. Watching these great Americans compete as a team on Labor Day will be a highlight anyone who watches will cherish.”

The Stars and Stripes Classic will be held at Subaru Park on Monday, September 1 at 6:00pm ET following the PLL Semifinals, airing on ESPNU and streaming on ESPN+. Tickets are on sale now at https://premierlacrosseleague.com/semifinals. Each ticket grants admittance to all three games.
