Who Will Be Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club’s Backup Goalie?

The 30-man roster for the Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club will report to training camp today in Albany. After three days of practice and scrimmages, the roster will be trimmed down to 25 players on Wednesday, May 31. Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club Head Coach and General Manager Jim Stagnitta will have to make some difficult personnel decisions, especially at the offensive midfield, defensive midfield, and goalie positions.
Battle #3 - Goalie (Brian Phipps vs Brendan Krebs)
The Whipsnakes are likely to only keep two keepers, so this battle will be intriguing and will likely come down to the last day.
Phipps has started and played in some big games during his Whipsnakes career, but he is 35 and could be on his way to retirement.
Krebs, on the other hand, is a young lefty who played well at the Championship Series with the Archers LC. This will assuredly be a great goalie battle to decide who will be backup to starter Kyle Bernlohr, with arguments being made for both Phipps and Krebs.
