Chris Mattes is a Westfield, New Jersey native where he attended Westfield High School. While playing at Rutgers, Mattes was a 2011 USILA All-American and named to the First Team All-BIG EAST roster. In addition to lacrosse, Mattes worked with the New England Patriots as a member of their football operations/player development staff where the team went on to win Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and the AFC Championship in 2017.
