Jay Carlson is a Baltimore, Maryland native where he attended St. Paul's School. While playing at the University of Maryland, Carlson won the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award and was Academic All Big Ten. He also was an Honorable Mention All Big Ten recipient. When Carlson is not playing lacrosse, he enjoys hiking, basketball, surfing, reading and coaching. Carlson was an integral member of Whipsnakes LC championship run in 2019, scoring four goals. Carlson continued to shine for Whipsnakes and took his game to the next level at the 2020 Championship Series. Carlson scored 12 goals in the Whipsnakes six games en route to back-to-back titles.
