Utah Archers defenseman Graeme Hossack won the All-Star Fastest Shot Competition on Saturday afternoon in Kansas City. He set the record for the fastest PLL shot at 123 MPH on Friday night, breaking Jarrod Neumann’s record of 121 MPH.

Then, at halftime of the PLL All-Star game, Hossack beat fellow Fastest Shot finalist Matt Campbell with a 122 MPH shot to take home some hardware.

He rewrote the history books nonchalantly, in classic Hossack fashion. After breaking Neumann’s record on Friday, he noted that he’d been practicing without a radar gun, so he had no idea how fast he was shooting.

ā€œI haven’t clocked my shot, I don’t think ever professionally, so I was just seeing what I could do,ā€ Hossack said.

His run-up and shot mechanics were similarly straight-forward as he approached each shot with a rounded jog towards the 10-yard shot line. Hossack relied on the sheer power that his 6-foot-2, 230-pound frame can generate in a pair of mighty steps. He used a three-quarters release to shoot high-to-low, and matter-of-factly hit multiple 120-plus MPH shots as a result.

With his performance this weekend, Hossack becomes the third winner of the Fastest Shot Competition since 2019. Neumann is a four-time winner, having taken the spoils in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024 while Jake Froccaro hit the fastest shot in 2021.
