The Oren Lyons Goalie of the Year winner, Kyle Bernlohr climbed back up the ranks in the Players Top 50 going from unranked to #13, bouncing back in a way only he can.

After a slump in his game in 2021, Bernlohr reminded everyone as to why he’s considered one of the best of the best between the pipes. The Whipsnakes goaltender led the league in both scores-against average (9.70) and save percentage (.580). He was in the net for all 10 of the Whips’ regular season victories, playing a large factor in their near-perfect regular season.

With an impressive 2022 campaign, Bernlohr took home the Goalie of the Year award and became the first player not named Blaze Riorden to do so.

“We’re f**king lucky to be playing in front of that guy,” exclaimed Bryce Young

“He makes it easy,” remarked Matt Dunn. “We can always count on Kyle to steal us a few and make a save within a save. He’s very invested in what we’re doing beyond just making stops. He’s engaged in our game plan every step of the way.”

#50-#11 of the 2022 Players Top 50 are out now. Check back this week for #10-#1.
