Everybody ate in Atlas LC's season opener as 10 different point scorers led head coach Ben Rubeor's team to a 17-11 win over Redwoods LC.

The starting attack line of Jeff Teat (5G, 2A), Eric Law (3G, 4A) and second overall pick Chris Gray (2G, 1A) shot a combined 10-for-15 (66.7%).

Gray's first career goal was an absolute snipe setup by Teat. ESPN sideline reporter Quint Kessenich asked Gray how much of the cage he needs to see to let a shot fly.

"Just the corner, really," Gray replied.

Redwoods LC struggled to find its rhythm offensively. Rob Pannell (1G, 1A) exited early with a cramp, moving Jules Heningburg (4G) down to attack. When Pannell returned, it bumped Ryder Garnsey (1G) to the box.

Defensively, the Redwoods were picked apart by Atlas's ball movement, especially early in the clock. Tim Troutner and Jack Kelly made a combined five saves (24% save percentage).

Atlas LC will play Cannons LC in a battle for first place on Saturday, June 11th at 6:00PM ET on ESPN2. Redwoods will look to bounce back against a physical Chrome team on Friday, June 10th at 6:00PM ET on ESPN+.
