On Wednesday September 14th, Chrome LC offensive coordinator Matt Kerwick submitted his resignation with immediate effect.

A long time college coach, Kerwick joined Chrome in 2022. His connections to Head Coach Tim Soudan and Defensive Coordinator Jacques Monte made him a seamless fit into the staff. Throughout high school Kerwick was rivals to Monte and Soudan, before becoming teammates with Monte at Hobart.

Coach Soudan added, “I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Matt over the past two years. He is not only a great friend, he has great perspective”.

As the offensive conductor, Kerwick saw success in 2022, finishing the regular season fourth in scoring on the backs of two incredible rookie campaigns by Brendan Nichtern and Logan Wisnauskas.

Without Nichtern, the offense struggled throughout the 2023 season, and no matter the lineup or scheme change the team wasn’t able to find an offensive identity. Ultimately the Chrome finished dead last in scoring, assists, shots, and shooting percentage.

The search for a new offensive coordinator will begin effective immediately.
