CJ Costabile's (1G, 2T) hat trick against Archers LC in Charlotte was the seventh hat trick all-time by a defenseman or long-stick midfielder. Costabile joins Matt Bocklet, Kyle Hartzell, Scott Ratliff, and Michael Ehrhardt as the only poles with hat tricks in pro lacrosse history.

"CJ is ageless," said Chaos LC head coach Andy Towers. "The guy is like Superman. He is just relentless in terms of how he competes."

Costabile is one of Blaze Riorden's favorite targets in the clearing game. If opposing offensive midfielders substitute after saves, Costabile will push transition and pull up from 20 yards.

Chaos encourages their longpoles to run. Costabile's second 2-pointer of the game was on a three-pole fast break (!!!) as Troy Reh and Jarrod Neumann both crossed midfield with Costabile.

It's difficult to defend the 2-point line in transition, especially when Wes Berg is sealing his defender inside like this. Berg buys Costabile time, and Costabile makes the Archers pay.

Now in his 11th professional season, Costabile has 64 career points (31G, 8T, 17A).
