“The continued success of our Championship Series and inaugural Unleashed All-Star Game is a direct reflection of the stellar performances of our games' best players and coaches, a ongoing commitment to excellence from our front office, and an overall boost in enthusiasm for the game’s return to the Olympics in 2028,” said Paul Rabil, Co-Founder and President of the PLL. “Watching our teams compete for their new home markets for the first time marked the start of a new era for our league as player, fan and team rivalries were born. As we look ahead to our Japan exhibitions, and the 2024 season, we can’t help but feel the best is yet to come for lacrosse internationally and here at home.”

The Olympic style, six-on-six series featured the league's top four teams from the 2023 season – the Boston Cannons, Philadelphia Waterdogs, Utah Archers, and California Redwoods – representing their home markets for the first time. The league also debuted its inaugural women’s Unleashed All-Star Game, a North vs. South exhibition featuring the world’s best women’s professional lacrosse athletes. The North team defeated the South 18-12, with Charlotte North named MVP of the game.

“The Championship Series continues to represent an important investment in and expansion of our sport and our league. This property expands earning opportunities for our players and coaches, and exposure to new fans through our media rights partner in ESPN,” said Mike Rabil, Co-Founder and CEO of the PLL. “We’re grateful to our partners at Ticketmaster for their commitment to elevating the fan experience, and The St. James for welcoming us to their best-in-class facilities. We can’t wait to build on this momentum through the season ahead.”

The 2024 PLL season will kick off May 31-June 2 in Albany, NY. To view the full schedule and ticketing information, visit www.premierlacrosseleague.com/schedule.
