Premier Lacrosse League Returns to Denver for 2020 Season

PLL to play at University of Denver’s Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium this summer

 

LOS ANGELES, CA. (March 11, 2020) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today that the league is scheduled to return to Denver, CO for its upcoming 2020 campaign this summer. University of Denver’s Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium is scheduled to host a total of three PLL games on August 28th and 29th.

“After an outstanding turnout during our visit to Denver in the 2019 season, we knew it was imperative to return to Denver,” says PLL Co-Founder and CEO Mike Rabil. “The last two decades have seen lacrosse become substantially ingrained within the fabric of this city. The PLL is proud to boast several University of Denver alumni including Atlas standouts and PLL stars, Trevor Baptiste and Eric Law. We’re excited to combine forces of our world-class PLL ops team with the DU staff to create an unforgettable experience for the fans and our players.”  

Peter Barton Stadium (Denver, CO) is the twelfth location to be announced for the PLL’s second season this summer following Gillette (Foxborough, MA), Fifth Third Bank Stadium (Atlanta, GA), LaValle Stadium (Stony Brook, NY), Homewood Field (Baltimore, MD), and Ford Center at the Star (Dallas, TX), and TCO Stadium (Minneapolis, MN), OC Great Park (Los Angeles, CA), Providence Park (Portland, OR), WakeMed Soccer Park (Raleigh, NC), Tom & Mary Casey Stadium (Albany, NY), and Rio Tinto Stadium (Salt Lake City, UT). The 2020 season is scheduled to begin on May 29 and will be distributed via an exclusive media rights deal with NBC Sports. Games will be shown throughout the summer on a combination of NBC, NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold, the network’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform.
