LOS ANGELES, CA. (FEBRUARY 14, 2020) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has announced a partnership with Woodbury United Lacrosse (WUL) to support the league's 2020 PLL Weekend in Minneapolis on July 11th and 12th at TCO Performance Center. WUL – a leading local youth lacrosse organization in Minneapolis – will host the ‘Black and Blue Youth Lacrosse Tournament’ during the same weekend the PLL visits Minneapolis. The event draws more than 100 teams and 1,300 players and is hosted 15 minutes from the TCO Performance Center making it highly accessible for participants.
“Our partnership with WUL and their prominent ‘Black and Blue Youth Lacrosse Tournament’ is incredibly meaningful in terms of attendance and awareness as we embark on the PLL’s first trip to Minneapolis” says Mick Davis, Head of Ticket Sales. “The Black and Blue Tournament features a gentler competition schedule than the typical recruiting tournament, which bodes well for programming alignment; this tournament partnership should be one of our most seamless in terms of integration.”
“Woodbury United Lacrosse is very excited about this partnership,” says communications director of WUL, Scott Millet. “Wulax (WUL) is looking forward to combining efforts with the PLL to promote and elevate the sport of lacrosse at our Black and Blue tournament, where we will have over 100 youth lacrosse teams comprised of boys and girls, ages 7-14. This great weekend of lacrosse will be capped off with exciting PLL games featuring the world’s best lacrosse talent.”
