2022 Players Top 50: #41 Ryan Conrad
The second overall pick of the 2019 College Draft out of Virginia, Ryan Conrad’s potential was finally unlocked by the Waterdogs in 2022.
Pigeonholed as a transition starter early in his career, Conrad showed his offensive skillset in his third professional season. As a dodger, Conrad shot 6-for-18 (33.3%) – most notably creating his own shot in the clutch against the slow-to-go Chaos LC defense in the 2022 Cash App Championship. His speed is tough to contain; and he’s strong enough to create separation in tight spots.

Conrad played on the interior of the Waterdogs’ powerplay unit. Think about that for a second. A team full of Canadian finishers put a player who many projected as an SSDM entering the league in a position that requires ultra-quick hands.
Conrad’s evolution as a dodger and finisher land him his first career nod on The Players Top 50.
