On Friday, Archers LC and Redwoods LC were both looking to make the push to the next playoff round in a do-or-die game under the lights. A sensational second half performance from the entire Redwoods team, most notably Ryder Garnsey and Wes Berg, saw coach Nat St. Laurent’s team advance to Round 2 with a 16-12 win. Saturday’s doubleheader brought the crowd out in full force for two games of gripping lacrosse. The early game saw Atlas LC easily defeat Chrome LC 17-8 behind a record-setting 9-point performance from Connor Buczek. The win gives Atlas LC a bye next week and an automatic place in First Overall Draft Pick Game in Philadelphia on September 21. In the late game on Saturday, Whipsnakes LC demolished the favored Chaos LC by a score of 15-7. Led by dominant midfield play in the second half, the Whipsnakes put together their most complete team performance this year and booked a place in the inaugural PLL Championship Game in Philadelphia.
