PREMIER LACROSSE LEAGUE ANNOUNCES ATTENDANCE AND SOCIAL FIGURES FROM WEEK 3 IN CHICAGO
LOS ANGELES, CA. (June 18, 2019) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today an attendance total of 11,398 over three games this past Saturday and Sunday (June 15-16) in its Midwest debut at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL.
The weekend at SeatGeek Stadium got off to a flying start with an overtime game between Chaos LC and Redwoods LC that saw Andy Towers’ Chaos team get their second consecutive win. Weathering rainy conditions later in the day, Whipsnakes LC won the battle of the undefeated to remain that way with another overtime win over Archers LC. The weekend culminated with a stunning showdown on NBC that saw Atlas LC get their first win of the season against Chrome LC. Saturday’s two overtimes finishes and Sunday’s heated nationally televised matchup generated 1.4 million total interactions and 2.3 million views across all social platforms.
The PLL season rolls for week 4 (June 22-23) with a de facto homecoming weekend for numerous PLL alumni of Maryland, John Hopkins, Towson, UMBC, and Loyola, reigniting old rivalries and sparking new ones. With action being held at Homewood Field in Baltimore, the home venue of Johns Hopkins, Saturday games will include a 1 PM ET matchup between Chrome LC and Redwoods LC followed by a 7:30 PM ET game under the lights between Whipsnakes LC and Atlas LC. Sunday will see Archers LC take on Chaos LC at 3:30PM ET. Games will be available on a combination of NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold.
