Position Overview:
The PLL is looking for 20 seasonal merchandise masterminds to activate at youth tournaments and events. The ideal candidate exhibits a high level of work ethic and will have prior experience working within the event merchandise space, is highly analytical and organized, and is driven by the opportunity to build, daily puzzle-solving, and finding opportunities for continuous improvement. This role will require travel for 1-2 monthly events and 12 events total from April to December.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Sell PLL merchandise at events within local markets
  • Manage interactions with event attendees and deliver a memorable experience with the PLL
  • Manage and transport PLL inventory and track inventory shipments
  • Track and report sales and inventory data
  • Setup/breakdown of merchandise infrastructure, including tent, tables, displays, and product
  • Share feedback and report weekly on sales performance
  • Diligently manage end-to-end inventory processes to minimize onsite shrinkage and maximize integrity
Prerequisites:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be available to work at least 1-2 weekends per month (Apr-Dec)
  • High school education and developed interpersonal skills
  • Proactive working attitude
  • Ability to address and confidently connect with attendees
  • Passionate about sports entertainment
  • Adaptable mindset with the ability to problem-solve
  • Access to reliable transportation to travel to tournaments and transport inventory
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
  • Able to be on their feet for 8 to 10 hours a day
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel
Extra Credit:
  • Prior retail sales experience
  • Experience in sports marketing and/or coverage of sporting events
  • College Junior or Senior-level education in a marketing/sports-related field
  • Knowledgeable of the PLL brand
  • Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
COMPENSATION:
  • $250 per tournament day
