Premier Lacrosse League on NBC is most watched outdoor pro lacrosse game in history

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and NBC Sports announced today that Sunday’s game (2-4 pm ET) between Chaos LC and Atlas LC from Red Bull Arena averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 412,000 viewers across NBC, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app, making it the most-watched outdoor pro lacrosse game in history and the most-watched pro lacrosse game in 14 years (2005, NLL indoor championship, Toronto-Arizona, 689,000 viewers on NBC).

Premier Lacrosse League Announces SportsNet As Exclusive Canadian Distribution Partner

LOS ANGELES, CA. (June 12, 2019) – The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today an agreement with Sportsnet, Canada’s #1 sports media brand, to become the exclusive distribution partner for league games in Canada for the 2019 PLL season. As part of the agreement, Sportsnet will air 16 PLL games in Canada for the remainder of the league season that are being produced and broadcast through either NBC and NBCSN in the United States. PLL action will air in Canadian markets through a combination of Sportsnet channels that include: Sportsnet, Sportsnet 360, and Sportsnet ONE. Atlas LC vs. Chaos LC Week 2 Recap

Ryan Brown got Sunday’s Atlas LC vs. Chaos LC matchup off to a hot start by scoring a goal for the Atlas within 8 seconds. The Chaos responded brilliantly by answering this with five straight goals, most notably a two-point bomb from Matt Rees, bringing their lead to a massive 8-1 scoreline early on. This first quarter start was just a sign of things to come for Rees, who was one of the stars of the weekend.
