As a junior at Syracuse, Joel White became the first-ever longpole to win the Lt. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. Award, given to the nation’s best midfielder. (Two have won since: CJ Costabile in ‘12 and Jared Conners in ‘21.)

White carried his success into a historic professional career with the Rattlers and Chrome. He ranks fourth all-time in career groundballs (616) behind Matt Bocklet (730), Brodie Merrill (1,105), and Greg Gurenlian (1,120).

After 10 years of vertical cradles, opportunistic nuggets, and transition offense, White retired alongside longtime teammate John Galloway.
