Players Top 50: #45 Colin Heacock
Standing 6-foot-3, Colin Heacock is built for the newest iteration of Chrome LC head coach Tim Soudan’s “Big Boy Line.”
Soudan’s midfielders over the years have always overpowered smaller SSDMs. John Ranagan (6-foot-3), Jordan MacIntosh (6-foot-2), and Jesse King (6-foot-3) have run alongside Dave Lawson, Justin Turri, and other giants.
Heacock used his frame to bully defenders down the alley. He shot 40.0% (8-for-20) off the dodge -- an advanced stat that shows who can win their one-on-one matchup. Heacock can win from above the arc or from below GLE. An attackman at Maryland, Heacock didn’t invert much this summer -- but he made the most of his opportunities.
