Players Top 50: #45 Colin Heacock

Heacock used his frame to bully defenders down the alley. He shot 40.0% (8-for-20) off the dodge — an advanced stat that shows who can win their one-on-one matchup. Heacock can win from above the arc or from below GLE. An attackman at Maryland, Heacock didn’t invert much this summer — but he made the most of his opportunities.

Players Top 50: #46 Stephen Rehfuss

Rehfuss dished 47 assist opportunities (i.e. a pass that leads directly to a shot). Dhane Smith (57 AO) and Brad Smith (49 AO) were the only midfielders with more. Most of Rehfuss’s AOs were created in six-on-six sets. He dodged, drew slides or hedges, and found the open shooter.

Tim Troutner led PLL in unassisted save percentage (64.1%) in his third season as a pro. If he can see it, he can save it.The only way to beat him is to move the ball to find catch-n-shoot chances — which is easier said than done against the Woods’ defense.

Withers is the king of counters. He won 52.6% of faceoffs following a clamp loss. Read that back. When Withers lost the clamp, he was still more likely to win the faceoff than his opponent whose head was smothering the ball. Insane.

31 career 1-point goals. 14 career 2-point goals. (45 career heartbreakers.) 44 career assists. 103 career points. Scott Ratliff became the second longpole ever to hit 100 career points — joining Brodie Merrill, the eponym for the league’s Long-Stick Midfielder of the Year Award.
